netbooks in the classroom

I don't know how you can measure this but how much typing noise does a netbook make in the classroom?

I'm a key pounder and I work at night so my wife suggests I do something to cut the noise. My solution is a neoprene type pad underneath the computer with a plastic eraser under each of the back two corners. That cuts down on the pounding some but you can still here the mechanical clicking of the keys.

Any anti-noise experts out there? Okay, non-experts with a good idea?
